Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 27, 2026
Homecourt ("Homecourt," "we," "us," or "our") provides a dues collection and payment automation platform for AAU basketball program directors, their staff, and the families they invoice. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, and program/organization details provided by program directors and staff when they sign up.
- Family and player information: name, email address, phone number, and team/roster details entered by directors to manage dues and invoicing.
- Payment information: billing details processed through our payment processor, Stripe. Homecourt does not store full credit card numbers on our own servers — Stripe handles and secures that data directly.
- Communications data: phone numbers and message content used to send SMS notifications (e.g., payment reminders, confirmations) through our messaging provider, Twilio.
- Waitlist and inquiry information: name and email address submitted through our website's waitlist or contact forms.
- Usage data: basic technical information such as browser type, device information, and how you interact with our website and application, collected automatically.
How We Use Information
- To create and manage accounts for directors, staff, and families.
- To process dues payments and payouts via Stripe.
- To send transactional SMS and email notifications (invoices, reminders, payment confirmations) via Twilio and our email provider.
- To respond to inquiries and manage our product waitlist.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the Homecourt platform.
- To comply with legal obligations.
SMS & Messaging Consent
By providing your phone number, you consent to receive SMS messages related to your Homecourt account, such as dues reminders, payment confirmations, and program communications sent on behalf of your program director. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by contacting your program director or us directly. We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the service:
- Stripe — to process payments and payouts.
- Twilio — to deliver SMS notifications.
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider, which stores account and program data securely on our behalf.
- Netlify — our website hosting provider, which processes waitlist form submissions.
- As required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Homecourt, our users, or others.
Within a program, directors can access the family and player information relevant to running their own program; families' information is not shared across unrelated programs.
Data Retention
We retain account, roster, and payment-related information for as long as an account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward as needed to comply with legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations.
Your Choices
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us at the email below.
- You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP.
- You may unsubscribe from waitlist or marketing emails using the link included in those emails.
Children's Privacy
Homecourt is intended for use by program directors, staff, and parents/guardians. While rosters may include the names of minor athletes, this information is entered and managed by the responsible adult (director or parent/guardian), not collected directly from children.
Data Security
We use commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and secure third-party infrastructure providers (Stripe, Supabase, Twilio, Netlify), to protect the information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
